Exporting & Importing Organic Goods & International Certification

If you’re looking to expand the reach of your organic products, exporting to other countries, then you must abide by their individual standards. As a general rule, Australia has one of the most stringent organic standards and therefore certified organic growers, processors and manufacturers within Australia will generally meet international standards without too much change to their operations. However, you must still seek the relevant certification, meeting the international standards of the country/countries you wish to be certified for export, in addition to export requirements. It’s important to note that not all Australian certifying bodies are approved to certify in international markets.
